HP DeskJet 460 Bluetooth Printing
Errors
We have received some reports of problems with HP460 printing via
Bluetooth. The problem occurs in the middle of a print job that is
printing fine when an error message “'Data connection to printer
lost' appears and the remainder of the print job is lost. This is an
isolated issue - we have been unable to reproduce this in our
testing with different HP460 printers using several different
adapter cards and firmware versions... we also have many customers
using HP460 without difficulty.
The problem is caused by a fault in the HP460's CB004A Bluetooth
adapter card and there is no known fix. We
encourage you to report the problem to HP support so they can
understand the need for a resolution and see if they are able to
assist in this problem with their Bluetooth adapter.
We have several customers who have experienced this problem and
resolved it by using HP's BT450 USB bluetooth adapter card (see
links below) after removing the CB004A - the BT450 plugs into the
USB port on the back of the HP460.
